Behavioral Expectations During Orientation

Participation All students are required to participate in ALL activities during their orientation session. Students will be required to abide by all student conduct regulations as outlined in the Code of Student Conduct. You will receive a copy of the code upon arrival at Orientation.

Alcohol or Drug Use Alcohol and drugs of any kind are prohibited from Johnson & Wales University. During your stay at J&W, you are expected to abide by the university’s alcohol and other drug policies, which prohibit you from possessing and/or consuming alcohol or other drugs. Violations of these policies will be referred to Campus Safety & Security and/or the Providence police. In addition, violations will be referred to the Office of Student Conduct for immediate action.

Any violation of the Code of Student Conduct could result in the rescinding of your acceptance to the university.

Pagers and Cell Phones During the activities, all pagers and cell phones must be turned OFF.

Unexpected Departures All students must stay for the entire orientation session. If you must leave due to unexpected circumstances, please contact your orientation leader. They will assist you in scheduling the proper arrangements.
