mission To provide a safe, hospitable, multicultural environment for the entire campus community, where students of all backgrounds can prosper academically and socially. Increase faculty, staff and students awareness and acceptance of cultural and personal differences. Create and implement a continuum of programmatic initiatives conducive to fulfilling Johnson and Wales University Vision Point 2006.

goals and objectives
- Foster collective, rather than separate, student body goals based on awareness of cultural difference and sensitively to the needs of cultural group members.
- Serve as a resource for the entire campus community by sponsoring educational programs, cultural events and social activities.
- Assist faculty to infuse diversity into the classroom.
- Create a campus climate that welcomes diversity.
- Supports diversity vision point.
- Assist with academic support and advising.
- Assist in providing diversity training for faculty staff and students.
