safety & security The Denver Campus Safety & Security office is here to promote the safety and well being of students, faculty, staff and property, providing campus coverage and patrols 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Johnson & Wales University Campus Safety & Security contribute to the quality of University life by fostering an environment in which security is balance with freedom of movement, and individual rights balanced with community needs.

Incidents of an emergency nature should be reported to the Denver police at (8)911, then to Campus Safety and Security at 303-256-9500.

campus safety tips Safety and crime prevention starts with personal responsibility. Please use these tips to make the campus a safer place for yourself and everyone else in our community.
• Walk with another person after dark or call for an escort.
• Be aware of your surroundings and any signs that something is out of place.
• Stay in well lighted areas and walk away from alleys, dark corners and bushes whenever possible.
• Don't carry large sums of money.
• Lock your valuables securely, even in your room.
• Mark your property for quick identification.
• Do not risk injury if someone attempts to forcibly take your wallet, purse, or other personal belongings.
• Don't attach your I.D. to your keys or mark your key chain with your name and address.
• If your keys are lost or stolen, notify Campus Security, as well as Residential Life staff, IMMEDIATELY.
• Get to know your neighbors and share information about suspicious activity.

in case of emergency In an emergency, time is critical and getting answers FAST could mean the difference between life and death. ICE - In Case of Emergency – allows emergency service providers and public safety personnel to get answers quickly when you are incapacitated. For more information on ICE, please refer to this University website.

sex offender registry Johnson & Wales University, per the Clery Act, is making the CBI (Colorado Bureau of Investigation) sex offender registry available to students. Visit this website for more information: http://sor.state.co.us.
