The Community Leadership Institute (CLI) is a resource for students, faculty
and staff to experience leadership and transform the community by taking action.
A core belief of the CLI is that leadership is essential and teachable for ALL.
This commitment is delivered via a cadre of quality, cutting edge, curricular and value-added programs.
It is a strategic vision point for Johnson & Wales University that students on all campuses be instructed in community leadership principles that will make them valued contributors to work, family and civic life.
The CLI provides ALL students with opportunities to develop leadership skills through unique programs that connect them with community leaders, experience leadership in a real world setting, and learn about leadership in a classroom setting.
The Community Leadership Institute is:
- An Enabler for the campus to develop leadership capacity, a catalyst for opportunity and content expertise.
- A place for Action, driven by experiential, relevant work transforming the community and our campus.
- The Voice for our campus work in serving the community, promoting good work and mobilizing resources.
