policies & uniforms
Johnson & Wales University welcomes and involves people of all ages from diverse cultures and backgrounds. Our Charlotte Campus is strategically located in an urban environment to provide students with opportunities to interact with potential employers and to prepare for successful careers. At America's Career University, students are expected to model good personal hygiene and to wear appropriate attire while attending classes consistent with that which is expected of their corporate counterparts. For health reasons, culinary students, in particular, will have high standards as it pertains to hygiene, grooming, and uniform.

The staff and faculty will be charged with clarifying appropriate grooming and attire but, ultimately, it is the responsibility of the student to use good judgment in representing the University. As public acceptance of different fashions change, these guidelines may be modified from time to time.
