There are many opportunities for students to volunteer throughout the year. Student clubs are required to complete a community service project in order to be established on campus. Club members are encouraged to volunteer on an on-going basis throughout the year.
Other
community opportunities are passed on via a number of means including, the
weekly campus newsletter “The Scoop”, through the Office of Community
Outreach, and through the Student Activities Department.
Random Acts of Kindness (R.A.K.) is an on campus organization whose mission is to help others in need. The student members of R.A.K. are fun and energetic people who like to work together to spread kindness around the Charlotte community. R.A.K. is a great way to make new friends because everyone has an open mind to new activities and members enjoy working together on various projects. New members are welcomed every week. R.A.K. meetings are held every other Monday night at 8:00 p.m. in the first floor commons of Cedar Hall North. For more information about R.A.K. contact President Valerie Raper or Secretary/Treasurer Jessica Whitlow.
